Your wedding day — or any milestone celebration — should be talked about for years. Flowers and a DJ are expected. A robot delivering champagne to your guests is not. That element of surprise is what turns a lovely event into an unforgettable one.
Why Robots Work at Private Events
Private events have a different dynamic to corporate functions. Guests are relaxed, in a celebratory mood, and looking for shared experiences. A robot moving through the room creates exactly that — a shared moment of delight that gets everyone talking (and filming).
The key is matching the right robot to the right moment in the day.
BellaBot — The Robot Waiter
BellaBot is our most popular choice for weddings and private parties. It carries up to four trays of drinks, canapés, or desserts and navigates autonomously between guests. Its animated face screen adds charm — it smiles, winks, and even purrs when touched.
How couples use BellaBot at weddings:
- Drinks reception. BellaBot circulates with prosecco or signature cocktails while guests mingle after the ceremony. It keeps glasses topped up without waitstaff having to weave through crowds.
- Evening dessert service. Load the trays with mini desserts or late-night snacks and let BellaBot roam the dance floor area.
- Favours delivery. Place wedding favours on the trays for a creative alternative to the traditional table setting.
The practical benefit is real too — BellaBot handles the repetitive serving loops, freeing your catering team to focus on plating, clearing, and the moments that need a human touch.
Unitree Go2 — The Entertainment
The Go2 robot dog is pure entertainment. It performs tricks, follows handlers, and interacts with guests in ways that feel genuinely magical — especially for younger guests (and, honestly, most adults too).
Popular moments for the Go2:
- Ring bearer. The Go2 can carry a small pouch or cushion to the ceremony space. It's a showstopping entrance that photographs beautifully.
- Guest entertainment. During gaps in the schedule — the golden hour photo session, the room turnaround — the Go2 keeps guests engaged and happy.
- First dance companion. For couples who want a truly unique moment, the Go2 can be choreographed to accompany part of the first dance.
Unitree G1 — The Statement Piece
The G1 humanoid is reserved for hosts who want maximum impact. Standing at human height with fluid, lifelike movement, it creates genuine gasps. The G1 works best as a focal-point appearance — greeting guests at the entrance, making a brief appearance during speeches, or featuring in a choreographed reveal.
Planning Your Event
Booking
- Lead time. We recommend booking 8–12 weeks ahead for weddings, though we accommodate shorter notice when availability allows.
- Venue visit. For larger venues, we'll visit in advance to plan routes, charging points, and any accessibility considerations.
- Coordination. We liaise directly with your venue coordinator or wedding planner so the robots integrate seamlessly into the run sheet.
On the Day
Every robot hire includes a trained handler who manages the robot throughout the event. They'll stay discreetly in the background, ensuring smooth operation and stepping in if the robot needs redirecting or recharging.
A typical wedding booking runs 4–6 hours, covering the drinks reception through to the evening party. We bring backup equipment and arrive with plenty of setup time.
Guest Experience
We've found that robots enhance rather than overshadow the event. Guests interact for a minute or two, take a photo, share it on social media, and return to the celebration. The robot becomes a talking point — "Did you see the robot at Sarah's wedding?" — which is exactly the reaction most couples are looking for.
